TNA Genesis Opener:
Typical bad-ass video package opens the show.
From there we shoot live to the arena. We get some pyro before Mike Tenay makes his official introduction on commentary.
In-Ring: Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff
From there we go straight to Hulk Hogan’s music. Out comes Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. As Hogan and Bischoff are entering the ring, Brooke Hogan and Hulk’s girlfriend are shown in the audience. Hogan welcomes us to the brand new Impact Zone. The crowd boo’s, lol. “We want six-sides!” chant from the crowd completely silences Hogan. That was hilarious. Hogan says they had six-sides before and it only took them so far. Hogan says no more six-sides, no more eight sides, this is where professional wrestling was made to be done. Crowd is still boo’ing badly at this. Wow this is turning into a train wreck. Hogan mentions his “competitor” and how he only refers to it as sports entertainment. He’s pulling out the big guns to stay babyface now. He does some cheap pop stuff and quickly has Bischoff take over. Bischoff talks about how the new ring symbolizes change and tells us to get used to change – because there’s a lot more coming our way. Hogan closes with “whatcha gonna do — VINCE MCMAHON – now that TNA is coming at you, brother….or sister!” Music hits and out go Hogan and Bischoff.
X-Division Title:
-Amazing Red (c) vs. Brian Kendrick
Red comes to defend his title against an unnamed opponent. Brian Kendrick’s music hits and a big pop erupts from the Impact Zone. Our X-title match is underway. “Brian Kendrick!” chant from the crowd. Lots of big spots a few minutes into this match, including a huge summersault dive from Red onto Kendrick on the floor in front of Brooke Hogan. Lots of back and forth action, with Kendrick ultimately having an advantage throughout the match. Red is selling his leg late in the match. Red hits his Code Red finisher out of nowhere for the pin. He continues to sell the leg after the match.
Winner and STILL X-Division Champion: Amazing Red
Backstage: The Band, Hogan & Bischoff
Backstage we see Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff with The Band. Hogan and Bischoff again tell them how they have to earn their spot tonight. Hogan and Bischoff walk off. Nash, Hall and Waltman are left with Hall and Waltman playing rock, paper and scissors to see who gets to be in the tag-match tonight.
In-Ring: Sean Morley’s Film & Daniels
Sean Morley comes to the ring. He takes his towel off and gives it to Brooke Hogan in the front row. He gets on the mic and introduces his first film production. The crowd chants “we want wrestling” and other stuff at Morley. As he continues to talk he is interupted by Daniels’ music. Daniels gets on a mic outside the ring. He talks about how Morley talks about movies and sexual innuendo. He says this is TNA and this is wrestling. The crowd cheers. He yells at the crowd to shut their mouths. He’s doing cheap-heat stuff now to stay heel. This is wild the way they’re forcefully going against the grain tonight. Anyways, that was weird. This lead to the Morley-Daniels match.
Sean Morley vs. Daniels
Match begins. Crowd is dead early. Eventually they just decide to chant “Fallen Angel” even though they were just told not to basically in the previous segment with Daniels. “Morley sucks” chant from the crowd, as they again try and let it be known who’s the good guy and who’s the bad guy. Daniels is trying his best to work heel now and Morley is finally attempting his babyface comeback. Crowd is totally flat for it. Crowd loudly chants “Daniels, Daniels!” in the midst of it. Daniels catches Morley in the Koji-clutch. Looked to be a near finish there but Morley eventually escaped. Daniels with a nearfall now. Crowd calling for the BME from Daniels. Morley cuts him off during the BME attempt and slams him down. Morley goes to the top but Daniels stops him. Morley sitting on the top now. Daniels climbs up and is looking for a high flying move. He tries a hurracanrana but Morley pushes him off as he goes crashing down to the canvas. Morley hits his big splash off the top and gets the pin.
Winner: Sean Morley
TNA Knockouts Title:
(2 out of 3 Falls)
-ODB (c) vs. Tara
ODB hits a fall-away slam. She goes to finish off Tara but Tara quickly rolls her up out of nowhere for the pinfall. Tara wins the first fall. The bell sounds to start the beginning of fall number two. The two fight over where Brooke Hogan is. There must have been an order from The Hulkster to make sure plenty of action went to his little girl’s side of the ring for some camera time. Joey Fatone from N’SYNC is shown sitting with Brooke. The match finds its’ way back in the ring. Tara gets a pin. Quickly there after she hits the Widows Peak for the third and final fall.
Winner and NEW TNA Knockouts Champion: Tara
Backstage: D’Angelo Dinero
Christy Hemme is backstage with The Pope. Pope talks about Desmond Wolfe but calls him Wolfey. Pope has spoken.
TNA Tag-Team Titles:
-The British Invasion (c) vs. Matt Morgan & Hernandez
Hernandez in total control of the offense early on until British Invasion lured Morgan into the ring to distract the ref, utilizing some double-team action on Hernandez in the process. More double-team action as they hit a big double-superplex off the top rope. Even more double-team action, this time right in front of the referee’s eyes. Hernandez continues to endure a beat down as Morgan begs for the tag. The British Invasion try some more double-team action but this time the ref personally breaks it up. The crowd chants “Morgan, Morgan” as both guys crawl to their corner for a tag. Each side makes the tag and Morgan is in with fire now. Williams is fighting back now after a thumb to Morgan’s eyes. Williams off the top with a flying back elbow on Morgan. All four guys are in now. All guys end up knocking each other down. The smoke clears and Morgan and Williams are left in the ring, both the legal men. Morgan hits a big chokeslam and tries a pin but only gets two. British Invasion again blatantly use double team offense. They try a pin on Morgan but he kicks out at two. Hernandez and Morgan now doing blatant double-team offense. Each guy hits their finisher. Morgan pins Williams and they get the victory. We have new TNA Tag-Team champions.

Backstage: Abyss Attacks Lashley, Hogan Changes Plans
Backstage we see Bobby Lashley. He walks into Eric Bischoff’s room. Abyss is in the room too. Abyss attacks Lashley. Lashley is out. Bischoff yells at Abyss for ruining his semi-main event. Hulk Hogan comes in and asks what’s going on. Bischoff tells him and walks off. Hogan gives Abyss a pep-talk. Hogan tells Abyss not to worry as he’ll still have a match tonight. Abyss asks who his opponent is going to be. Hogan tells him not to worry. He’ll see soon. He says this is going to be good.
Desmond Wolfe vs. D’Angelo Dinero
Wolfe comes out first with a new valet. The Pope comes out. Money falls from the ceiling as the fans lunge out trying to get as much as they can. Wolfe using a lot of leg submission holds on Pope early in the match. Crowd is into this match. Wolfe continues to work on the leg and knee of Dinero. Dinero finally trying to fight back now with chops and punches. Wolfe floors Pope with a European uppercut. He calls the crowd wankers. “Pope, Pope” chant from the crowd as Wolfe puts Pope on the top rope. He’s going for the Tower of London but Pope breaks it. Pope spears Wolfe out of nowhere. Pope hits an awesome brainbuster. Pope tries a pin attempt but Wolfe gets his foot on the ropes. Wolfe is back in control and again is working on the leg of Pope. He has Pope’s leg wrapped around the ringpost and is pulling his body to put pressure on the leg and back. Announcers are selling it as a dangerous spot. Pope limps his way back into the ring. Wolfe and the ref are arguing. Wolfe turns around and Pope hits a big slam. He goes down however, holding his leg in pain. The crowd brings him alive and he’s firing up on offense now with quick punches. Wolfe cuts him dead in his tracks and is back in control of the action yet again. Pope sets up for his finisher but limps trying. This allows Wolfe to cut him dead in his tracks with a lariet clothesline. He gets the pinfall and the victory.
Winner: Desmond Wolfe
The Band vs. Beer Money
It will be Kevin Nash and Syxx-Pac representing The Band. We reported exclusively earlier tonight that Scott Hall would not be wrestling. If you want to know why, visit our News page. Beer Money comes out to a big pop. No Scott Hall at ringside, by the way. Waltman and Storm start things off. Storm getting the better of the offense early on. “Waltman sucks” chant in the crowd. Storm makes the tag to Roode. A little double team action ensues before Storm goes back to the apron. Waltman finally makes the tag to Kevin Nash. Nash comes in and blasts Roode with punches and knees. He’s stomping him across the ropes now with help from Syxx-Pac, behind the ref’s back. Roode fighting back against Nash now with chops but Nash cuts him off. Roode gets Nash off his feet and tags in Storm. They hit some double team offense on Nash, splitting his legs. Waltman comes in and they double drop-toehold him. The crowd pops big for Beer Money’s dominance. Storm launches Syxx-Pac off the apron onto the floor. Nash hits Storm from behind and tags Pac back in. Waltman with a suplex followed by some trademark quick leg-drops. Syxx-Pac with a big spin kick. He yells “suck on that” to Storm and tags Nash back in. Nash goes to work on Storm. Nash slams Storm into Pac’s boot and tags him back in. Pac works Storm down into the corner. He tags Nash back in. Waltman and Nash utilizing quick tags and bursts of offense. Nash whips Storm into the corner and knocks him down with a follow-up clothesline. Waltman follows that up with a Bronco Buster on Storm in the corner. The crowd didn’t like that very much and they let the fellas hear it. Nash slams Storm down and tries a pin but Roode comes in to break up the count. Storm finally makes the tag to Roode and he’s in like a ball of fire, blasting Waltman and Nash both out of the water. Roode with a spinebuster and pin attempt on Waltman but Nash was there to break things up. All four guys are in the ring now but Nash is down. Beer Money slams Waltman down and poses for the crowd. “Beer…..Money!” We see Scott Hall coming down the ramp, which distracts Roode and Storm. They turn around and Nash hits a double-clothesline to put both men down. Hall is at ringside now. Nash hits a chokeslam on Storm and tries a pin but only gets two. We see Scott Hall slap a kid hard and pull him over the guard rail. Hall is beating up on some kid as Waltman tries to get him to stop. Meanwhile Beer Money get the pin on Nash in the ring to win the match.
Winners: Beer Money
After The Match:
We get replays of how the finish occured in the ring since we missed it due to Hall stuff live. Live in the ring now Hal and Waltman stare at Beer Money as they leave. Nash is still down in the center of the ring. They aren’t referencing Hall beating up the kid anymore, wonder what that was about?
Backstage: Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff
Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are shown backstage. Bischoff tells Hogan did a brilliant move but doesn’t say what it is.
Backstage: Bischoff Fires Borash; Ric Flair Promo
Jeremy Borash is talking about tonight’s main event when Eric Bischoff walks up and cuts him off. He takes his microphone from him. He asks Borash what he’s doing. He tells Bischoff he’s doing his job. Bischoff says his job is what he tells him it is. He tells him he’s going to take him off television. He said he’ll find him a job, maybe in catering or something. The crowd boo’s. Bischoff brings Christy Hemme in. Ric Flair interupts him and Bischoff just walks off. Hemme welcomes Flair to TNA. She asks what his role in TNA will be. Ric Flair says he’s not going to reveal why he’s here yet. But he says he goes where the best talent in the world is and that’s why he’s in TNA. WOOOO! Off he goes.
Abyss vs. Mr. Anderson
Abyss comes out. We “don’t know his opponent” yet. The lights go out and we hear “Miissstteer” out of nowhere Mr. Anderson appears in a dark, blue light on the ramp. A microphone comes out of the ceiling. “Looks like I done crossed the line,” Mr. Anderson opens with. He tells us he’s read our Twitters, Facebooks and emails and he knows we missed him. He says quite frankly, I missed myself. He says this next part is something for the history books. And that is….”weighing in tonight at an absolutely freaking astonishgly 235 1/4 pound, heiling from Green Bay, Wisconsin……*clears his throat*….Misss…he stops….Misssttteeeeerrrr Kee……..Anderson!” Wait for it, he tells us. “Anderson!” Up goes the microphone and back on come the lights. Mr. Anderson makes his way to the ring. Our match begins and Abyss is dominating the action so far. The crowd is way into Mr. Anderson. He’s the only “WWE-thing” getting over tonight. Mr. Anderson finally slows Abyss down as he clips his knee from behind. Mr. Anderson slams Abyss’ arm into the steel ring steps outside on the floor. He wraps his arm around the ring-post now and pulls on it. “Over-rated” chant from the crowd. Mr. Anderson playfully mocks the crowd for their chant. He grabs a chair. He goes to swing it but Abyss kicks the chair out of his hands. He throws Anderson back in the ring. Anderson catches Abyss coming in with a boot to the stomach. He slams his head into the turnbuckle. Abyss goes for the Blackhole Slam for Anderson fights his way out of it. He hits a neckbreaker and tries a pin but only gets two. Abyss catches Anderson coming off the top with a chokeslam. He tries a pin but Anderson kicks out at two. Abyss hits Mr. Anderson out of nowhere with the Shock Treatment. He pins him but Anderson still kicks out at two. He tries to pin him again but Mr. Anderson again kicks out at two. Abyss gets frustrated and brings a chair into the ring. Tenay and Taz say Hogan won’t be happy with this. We see a close-up shot of Anderson putting brass-knux on his hand. He blasts Abyss with them, puts them in his tights and pins Abyss for the cover. The crowd chants “cheater, cheater.”
Winner: Mr. Anderson
After the match:
“The winner of the match….Miiisssttteeerrrr Anderson!” …..”Anderson!”
TNA World Title:
-AJ Styles (c) vs. Kurt Angle
A long UFC style video package airs hyping up Angle-Styles. Out comes the challenger, Kurt Angle. Backstage we see Styles walking to the ring, also in UFC style. His music hits and he makes his way to the ring now with his TNA World championship. Great back and forth action for most of this match. Styles is matching Angle move for move, spot for spot and bragging about it. Styles with a huge flip over the top onto Angle on the floor. Loud “TNA” chant. Ric Flair comes out to ringside. A replay of Styles’ dive is shown. Styles with a huge springboard splash on Angle for a pin attempt. Angle kicks out at two. Angle avoids a Style Clash attempt from Styles. Angle hits a series of back-suplexes on Styles. Ric Flair continues to watch at ringside. Angle goes for the Angle Slam but Styles avoids it and hits the Pele kick. He tries a pin but Angle again kicks out at two. Angle blasts Styles with a huge clothesline. Angle going for the Ankle Lock but Styles pushes him off. Styles clotheslines Angle down. Ric Flair is shown watching directly at ringside still. Crowd is getting more and more into the match. Styles misses a 450 splash off the ropes. Angle immediately follows up with the Angle Slam and a pin attempt, but Styles somehow manages to kick out at two. Angle goes for a huge moonsault off the top rope but Styles gets out of the way. Styles sets up a Styles Clash but Angle turns it into an Ankle Lock instead at the last second. Styles finally pushes his way out. Styles slingshots himself onto Angle from the apron for a pin attempt, but again only gets two. Angle sets up a Styles Clash and hits Styles with his own Styles Clash. Crowd popped huge for that. Angle tried a pin off the move but only got two. Crowd chants “A for effort” to Angle for his Styles Clash. Styles hits a DDT on Angle to slow down his momentum. Angle dives in on Styles in the corner but only finds the steel post. Styles hits an Angle Slam on Angle out of nowhere. Crowd was into that one as well. Ric Flair is shown still watching at ringside. Angle hits the Angle Slam off the top rope and pins Styles. Styles somehow manages to kick out at 2 1/2. Crowd thought that was the finish. Loud “TNA, TNA, TNA!” chant. Angle pulls the straps down and slaps the Ankle Lock on Styles. Styles tries kicking him off but Angle hangs on. Right as Styles went to tap out, Ric Flair pulled the ref out of the ring. Styles is tapping out but the ref is hurt on the floor. Angle lets go of Styles and stares at Flair. Angle is pissed. Flair is backing up as Angle approaches him on the floor. Angle chases him in the ring but Styles catches Angle coming in with a clothesline. Flair takes his jacket off and struts around saying WOOOO!. He’s worked up and on fire baby! He throws the title in to Styles and tells him to use it. Styles thinks for a second and then blasts Angle with the title. He throws the title out of the ring and calls for the ref. Flair picks the ref up and throws him in the ring. 1…2…3. Styles wins.
Winner and STILL TNA World Champion: AJ Styles
After the match:
Ric Flair comes in with AJ Styles and celebrates. He’s still worked up and on fire. He holds the TNA world title up and hands it to Styles. He raises Styles hand and is screaming that he’s the World champion. Both Flair and Styles belt out some WOOOO’s in the ring.
